Bulk Import Contacts into CRM using Excel file

We are excited to share with you the latest updates added in recent ToolsonCloud CRM release. In this update, we have introduce the functionality to import contacts in bulk into the CRM. Here is a quick note for this release.

Need

CRM users often face the challenge of maintaining the CRM contacts in multiple places, excel files and third party systems. Overtime the contact list becomes too large. When there is a need to add the customer contacts into the CRM, it becomes a cumbersome job to add each and every contact one by one into the CRM.

Hence, there was a need to add a Bulk import functionality into ToolsonCloud CRM.

What’s New?

With the latest update on ToolsonCloud CRM, Now users can upload their contacts in an excel or spreadsheet file (in .csv format) into the CRM platform.

This feature is an extension to the earlier releases where we introduced the Bulk Import functionality for Leads and then Organizations.

To make use of this new feature, users can visit the Contacts listing page and click on the three dot menu on the top right corner.

Users should be able to locate a new option titled “Bulk Import” in the menu options. On Clicking on this option, the user will be navigated to the Bulk Import page.

Here, the user needs to select “Contact” from the dropdown menu asking the entity to be imported.

In the next step, user will be displayed a sample CSV file for uploading Contacts, which they can download and store in their local computer.

Users will be required to add their contacts in the sample csv file as per the given column format and order. Once done, they can upload the file on Bulk Import page.

Once the data is successfully imported, user will be displayed a confirmation on the screen. Now, users can go back and check the contact listing page to verify the data they just imported.
